Project Summary
The DoD FCTec Cooperative Agreement Program was initiated in January 2002 between CTC and the U.S. Army Engineering Research Development Center (ERDC), Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL). This initiative's focus is on testing and validating the performance and reliability of near-commercially available fuel cell systems for DoD applications.

Objectives of this program include enhancing FCTec testing capabilities to support test and evaluation activities for residential-sized power plants, development of a DoD Applications Test Protocol for Residential-Sized Fuel Cell Power Plants, and conducting test and evaluation programs of residential-sized fuel cell power plants in support of ranking these systems for military applications. The overall goal of this program is to determine the readiness of residential-sized fuel cell power plants towards commercialization.
