The FCTec is installing a 25,000-ft. Altitude Chamber to support its mission of providing comprehensive capability to measure the performance of fuel cells and help accelerate the commercialization of this new technology. The Altitude Chamber will have the capability to independently control pressure, temperature and humidity while maintaining oxygen concentration. Fuel cell performance can be measured while operating at the many conditions that can be simulated by the chamber. The Altitude Chamber is planned to be fully operational in July 2003.
